NI-Inspired Wallpaper Takes the UK by Storm
Ever dreamed of adorning your walls with the beauty of Northern Ireland? Well, now you can, thanks to the creative genius of Belfast interior designer Paul Moneypenny. His unique wallpaper collection, inspired by the stunning landscapes of NI, has become an instant hit across the UK.
In an exclusive interview, Paul reveals the secret behind its success: "The last collection resonated deeply with Northern Irish folks because they instantly recognized the places and names. It's fascinating to see how something as simple as a wallpaper can evoke such strong connections."
Paul's journey to becoming a wallpaper designer began with his appearance on the BBC's Interior Design Masters in 2021, where he showcased his talent alongside the legendary Alan Carr. The show's success fueled his passion, leading him to launch his own wallpaper range.
The wallpapers are available at Nobletts, the Belfast store Paul manages, as well as major retailers like The Range and B&Q across the UK. His latest collection features breathtaking prints inspired by Belvoir Forest Park and the Silent Valley, two iconic locations in NI.
"It's truly special to witness the impact of my creations in people's homes, especially when they draw inspiration from places close to my heart," Paul expressed with pride."
As the popularity of Paul's wallpapers continues to soar, he remains dedicated to his role as the manager of Nobletts, a beloved home decor store in Belfast. His retail background proves invaluable, allowing him to stay attuned to customer preferences.
"I'm fortunate to have a retail background, which enables me to constantly gather insights into what people desire. It's a unique advantage in the design world," Paul shared.
Paul's love for photography is evident in his extensive camera roll, filled with over 500,000 photos. This passion fuels his creativity, as he draws inspiration from his surroundings, translating them into captivating wallpaper designs.
Creating his own wallpaper range has been a lifelong dream come true. "I've been passionate about this since I was a teenager, and I knew I'd make it happen, whether it was a small personal project or a grand endeavor like this," Paul recalled.
Paul's social media platforms offer a glimpse into his wallpaper creation process, and he encourages his followers to share their own room makeovers, fostering a community of creativity and inspiration.
