Xbox Game Pass loses four more games in February 2026 (2026)

Get ready to say goodbye to some gaming favorites on Xbox Game Pass! As February 2026 draws to a close, a quartet of titles are set to depart the ever-evolving Game Pass library. This means if you've been meaning to dive into these games, now's your last chance before they're gone!

Microsoft has officially announced the second wave of games that will be removed from Xbox Game Pass on February 28, 2026. The titles making their exit are Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, Injustice 2, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and Monster Train. For those keeping track, this is in addition to any other games that might have already left earlier in the month.

But here's where it gets a bit tricky for completionists:

  • Monster Train: This roguelike deckbuilder is the quickest to conquer, with a completion time of around 40-50 hours for its 53 achievements. If you're a dedicated player, you might just be able to snag that full 1,000G. However, be warned: one of the more challenging achievements involves racking up 50,000 points in a daily challenge. This can be quite the hurdle, especially if the daily task isn't in your favor. You might find yourself waiting for a particularly high-scoring challenge with beneficial modifiers to appear.

  • Expeditions: A MudRunner Game and Middle-earth: Shadow of War: Both of these titles offer a more substantial commitment, with estimated completion times of 60-80 hours, not including any downloadable content (DLC). Expeditions seems to be the more demanding of the two, featuring achievements for completing all expeditions, driving a total of 200km, and repairing 10,000 points worth of vehicle damage. Shadow of War, while still offering some tough achievements, can extend to 70-95 hours if you factor in completing all its additional DLC packs.

  • Injustice 2: For the ultimate challenge, Injustice 2 demands a significant time investment, with its base achievement list estimated to take 150-200 hours to complete. Achieving the full 1,000G here is a serious grind, particularly if you're new to the intricate world of fighting games. Fear not, though! There are resources available to guide you through this epic journey. And for our PC gaming friends, the Windows version of Injustice boasts its own distinct set of achievements to pursue.

While the upcoming additions to Game Pass for February 2026 are still under wraps, we now know precisely which games players will need to prioritize before they vanish from the service. It's a shame to see some truly excellent titles go, but that's the dynamic nature of subscription services!

And this is the part most people miss: While the focus is often on the games leaving, it's a good reminder to check your backlog and see which games you've been meaning to play before they disappear. It's a constant balancing act for subscribers!

So, the big question is: Will you be diving into any of these Xbox Game Pass titles before they make their exit on February 28th? Do you agree that losing these games is a significant blow to the library, or do you think it's just part of the natural cycle of Game Pass? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
